25 Third Graders and Essential Oils

A couple of months ago I was asked to by my son Kent who is in third grade, to come into his class and teach them about what I do for a living. I was so blessed to go into the classroom last week and teach 25 third graders about Essential Oils. I have to say I was  nervous.  Why, I don't know this is what I do, teach classes on Essential Oils.  I love what I do, why was I nervous  I put some oils on me to calm me down, Lavender and Wild Orange and then I was ready.

I brought in the diffuser and they were all so curious and loved the smell that was coming out. I diffused Wild Orange and Peppermint. I was prepared to give my presentation and pass some oils and I gave my camera to my son Kent. He was a great photographer. I began the introduction and one boy in the front was so excited, he had to share. He said he had a drawer full of those oils at home and his favorite was Peppermint. He loved sharing his stories. There was another boy who also used the oils at home and was excited to share his stories.

As I continued with my presentation and Kent was passing the oils, they were getting excited. I was really enjoying watching the excitement. As the Lavender was getting passed around one said, where can I get some of that, does it help you sleep? The children loved the Essential Oils and they were so grateful that I came and taught them about them. I even got a letter from one little boy apologizing for being rude during my presentation and he was very grateful to learn about Essential Oils and how they can help you. Wow! they actually listened and learn something. I do not remember this child being rude at all.

After the presentation I passed out a bag with Epsom Salt to everyone, so they could make a Salt Bath to take home. Kent went around the room and added Fractionated Coconut Oil, Lavender and Wild Orange Essential Oil. The children went crazy, they wanted more. There was a group around the diffuser, everyone wanted more oils in the bath salt. It was adorable and I love how the children are so attracted to the oils.

Thank you all for letting me share. It was a wonderful day and I am very blessed. If you need a project to do in the classroom. Teach the kids about  Essential Oils what they are, how to use them and the benefits, then make a salt bath to take home. You could also do a Sugar Scrub or lotion. They love it.

A few days passed then Kent brings me this huge Thank you card from his class. On the front at the top it says "Oils Rule" Then the black dots are the Germs and the squares with arms are the Essential Oils killing the germs. Then you open it up with all the signatures and them thanking me for teaching them. It touched my heart and I am so blessed.
