December 2017 Full Moon Ritual

Photo taken by Tracy Despres
This full moon is known as the Super Full Moon in Gemini and It falls on December 3rd 2017 and will be overseeing us all on all the lessons learned and to celebrate our accomplishments. It is a time to enjoy and love, to give and to share, this is the time of year to honor the awakening we are all going through.  I love the energy and the beauty of the full moon, it's a magical time. I love the rituals and the time with my children when once a month we connect, do a meditation and a ritual and clear our emotional state and reconnect. We share our feelings, talk things out and set our intentions. It is a time of reconnecting not only with our family but with ourselves. The energy of this moon during the holiday's makes it even more magical. Embrace and enjoy.
It is a time to be grounded and not be ahead of ourselves, it is time to be with our loved ones and appreciate all the love we share together.

The intention of this ritual is to celebrate all of 2017 accomplishments, let go of what needs to be let go, appreciate all that has been learned, clear the energy, forgive yourself, love, be kind to yourself and others.  It is said that bad experiences, are learning experiences, as painful as they were. It is also said when things are tough, it is to prepare you for the future of your path. The universe is not going to give you anything you can’t handle. Pat yourself on the back, you have done your best and quit being so hard on yourself. Share your love and joy and end the year feeling good and ready to begin 2018. Be present and honor where you are.
December Gemini Full Moon Ritual
by Tanaaz and foreverconciousness.com, I added essential oils and a few other idea's of my own for the ritual.
The best time to do the ritual is December 1-15, 2017
What you need

·         Candle
·         Pen and Paper
·         Bowl of Water
·         Flowers
·         Gemstones - Rose Quartz, Angel Phantom Quartz, what ever resonates with you.
·         Essential Oils - Rose, Chamomile, Juniper Berry, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, Thyme, White Fir, Douglas Fir. Or your Essential oil of choice.

What to do

1. Before beginning, you need to take some time to prepare. Clearing the space Smudging sage or diffusing or spraying essential oils, ask for protection, then set a clear intention.

2. Place items in front of you, Gemstones, bowl of water, essential oils, flowers. Put a drop or two of essential oil of choice, rub on the back of neck and then cup your hands and inhale. Stand up and stretch, move and shake your body out. Take some deep breaths as you do this. Now, sit or lay down and try to still your mind by focusing on your breath. Take 20 deep breaths here.
3. Once you feel calm and relaxed, take your pen and paper and write down the names of the month. Under each month, reflect on what happened, how you felt, what you achieved, what mistakes you made- just write whatever comes to your mind. Allow your mind to let go and just write from your heart.
4. After reflecting on the year gone by, observe any thoughts, feelings or emotions that have arisen. Allow any emotions, particularly any painful ones to rise to the surface, allow yourself to feel them and breathe through them. When you feel ready, write your own mantra or repeat the one below three times while placing your hands over your heart-
“I forgive and let go of the things that I thought I should have done, and the things that did not go the way that I expected them to. I trust that whatever has unfolded is for my highest good and the good of the Universe. I forgive myself. I release myself. I love myself.”

Here is my Mantra to give you an idea of how to create your own
“ I forgive myself, I let go of what no longer serves me, I trust my path as it is part of Gods plan. “I let go, I trust, I allow myself to receive, I am enough, I am worthy and deserving, and I love myself”
Follow your instinct and just write.

5. Next make a list of 10 things you did this year that made you a better person or helped you to improve your life. Basically, you want to make a list of at least 10 positive things that you learned, changed or did through the course of the year. They can be simple, or they can be grand, the idea is that you want to honor yourself and your progress.
6. Next pick up a flower, place your other hand over your heart and then repeat- “I honor myself for (item on your list), Thank you”, then place the flower into the water. Really allow any emotions to come up and allow yourself to really feel the gratitude for whatever it is that you learned/accomplished. Keep repeating this process for all 10 items on your list.

7. Once all your flowers are in the bowl, place your hands on the outside of the bowl and repeat the following affirmation-
“I celebrate myself for the year gone by and all that I have achieved. I am proud of myself for all that I have accomplished and trust that I am exactly where I need to be”

8. Leave the bowl of flowers somewhere you can see them. Place your gemstones around or in the bowl. Admire your bowl for it’s symbolic of your achievements and just how far you have come! Feel free to decorate or add to your bowl if you wish. When you are ready, or when the flowers start to wilt you can discard it all outside back into the earth.
Enjoy the Full Moon!
