The Oil of Breath

This is an amazing blend for any respiratory issues. The Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint Essential Oils are great for occasional respitory relief. I love rubbing the Peppermint and Lavender on the end of my nose and diffusing at night while we are sleeping. I still gargle and swallow the Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint in water, but I love the This Blend on the end of my nose. If you have watery eyes, if you can stand it rub Lavender under your eyes, dilute with Fractionated coconut oil.

I have this blend with me at all times, in my hand bag, in my saddle bags and in every room in the house.
When my children have an occasional irritated throat, we rub on the bottom of their feet, my husband loves when we diffuse it at night so I don't snore.

My sister in-law and my sister rarely use there i hailers they apply a wonderful  Blend and rubs there hands together and cups them over one another an inhale. She still has her inhaler just in case. I am delighted to share this blend with you.

The Breathe Better Blend

This is an amazing blend of Laurel Leaf (Bay), Peppermint, Eucalyptus radiata, Melaleuca alternifolia, Lemon and Ravensra. Many of these oils have been studied for their abilities to open and soothe the tissues of the respiratory system and also for their abilities to combat airborne bacteria and viruses that could be harmful to the system.

Common Uses

• Maintains clear airways and breathing • Supports overall respiratory health • Helps minimize the effects of seasonal threats

Emotions Addressed

Sadness, grief, despair, unloved, difficulty breathing, constriction, distrust. Breathe Blend addresses the inability to let go of grief and pain. The individual in the need of Breathe Blend struggles to breathe and literally feels suffocated by sadness. The lungs and air passages become constricted, preventing air and emotion from releasing. Respiratory Blend encourages individuals to release grief and sadness and to receive love and healing. This blend teaches individuals to embrace life through breath.

Bergamot - The Oil of Self-Acceptance

Bergamot, what a funny name, I thought the first time I heard it. Oh but once I learned about this essential oil, what a wonderful oil to add to my collection. I had never heard of it before until I was introduced to Essential Oils. I love cleaning and diffusing with this oil, it helps me occasionally calm down. I love diffusing with Geranium, Wild Orange and White Fir (Gratitude and Joy Blend from the book Living Healthy and Happily Ever After, see below) My neighbor loves to drink it in his water.  Here is more on Bergamot.....

Bergamot Citrus bergamia

Originally this fruit was cultivated and harvested from the northern Italian city of Bergamo and it was only used for medicinal purposes in the local region until rather recently. The tree is of the citrus variety with a small Orange-like fruit. The peel is cold pressed to obtain the oils. The lower grade oil extractions are very commonly used in the perfume industry.

Common Uses

• Promotes healthy, clear skin • Reduces tension and stress • Soothes and rejuvenates skin • Lessens sad and anxious feelings

Essential Oil Safety

This weekend we had good friends over for dinner and they shared this story with us about their daughter and Cinnamon Essential Oil. Like us they are daily Essential Oil users. They have three children and their youngest is three, she is adorable and loves Essential Oils. I can't tell you how much she loves them, I have to make sure mine are out of reach when she comes over. It has always amazed me since I have been sharing the oils, how Children are drawn to them. That should tell us something.

A couple of weeks ago this adorable three year old got a hold of the Cinnamon Essential Oil and was in the other room from her mother, slathering herself with the Cinnamon, on her face, arms, etc, because she loves Essential Oils. Now remember Cinnamon is  an oil that needs to be diluted. A few seconds later, she started SCREAMING, her mother getting to her in seconds, the little girls face was bright red. Her mother immediately put Fractionated Coconut oil all over her and within seconds she had stopped screaming and was very lucky that Cinnamon didn't burn her skin any worse. It took a few minutes to calm her down but she was just fine. So remember to dilute right away with Vegetable Oil if this ever happens to you.

They still love and use the oils, but this is a lesson for all of us to learn from. Be careful where your oils are stored in your home. We trust and love the oils, but they are strong and for those little ones who love them, they will take them and run with them. I wanted to share this story as a reminder to all of us and tell those who don't know about Using Essential Oils and the Safety.

Natures Medicine is strong, so be safe and always have some kind of Vegetable Oil around.
I recommend sitting and sharing Essential oil safety with your children, explain to them how to use them and the safety involved.

Using Essential Oils Safely

There are several safety guidelines that you should follow when using essential oils and essential oil products.
  1. Be sure to use only 100% pure  essential oils and follow all label warnings and instructions.
  2. If redness or irritation occurs when using essential oils topically, apply a vegetable oil such as fractionated coconut oil or olive oil to the
    affected area.
  3. Essential oils should not be used in the eyes, inside the ear canal, or in open wounds. In the event of accidental contact with the eye, dilute with vegetable oil NOT water.
  4. Do NOT consume an essential oil internally unless labeled with a Supplement Facts box with specific dietary supplement use instructions and warnings.
  5. Discontinue the use of an essential oil if you experience severe skin, stomach, or respiratory irritation or discomfort.
  6. When using on children, apply a very small amount of oil to test skin or other sensitivity. Do not use oil on a child's hand as they may transfer to their eyes or mouth.
  7. Consult your physician before using essential oils if you are pregnant or under a doctor's care or have other safety questions regarding
    essential oils.
  8. Remember all Spice Oils like Oregano, Thyme, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Clove, are considered "Hot Oils" Must be Diluted before using, use with cation. Again Always dilute with Vegtable Oil NOT water.
  9. Follow all labels and safety instructions, refer to chart below for Essential Oils
It is important to remember that therapeutic-grade essential oils are highly-concentrated plant extracts and should be used with reasonable care. Consulting with someone who has experience with essential oils will make your first experience with essential oils more enjoyable and rewarding. As you learn how to use essential oils through personal experience, share your knowledge with others in a safe and responsible way and encourage others to do the same.

Product Support Services does not provide diagnosis or treatment for diseases. For health emergencies for which you believe a  product is a contributing factor, please discontinue the use of the product immediately. If symptoms persist, contact a medical professional. If you or a child has consumed a large quantity (more than 5 ml) of an essential oil not labeled for internal use, contact your local poison control center (see http://www.aapcc.org for a national listing). Please follow all label usage instructions and safety warnings.
